Bernard and Georgina became Christians in 1975. A few years later they felt God was calling them to ministry, so they began praying about starting a church. Kikongooni is located in Machakos district, about 45 miles southeast of Nairobi, Kenya. It is there that the church cares for over 20 orphans by providing food, clothing, medical, and school supplies. The church is also a central place where food distribution takes place for the surrounding areas during drought relief.

The mission effort here happens in multiple areas, such as a medical clinic, Bible school, evangelism and working with the orphans.
